 Exhibition cum SaleAssumption Community College was conducted exhibition cum sale on 31stJanuary  and 1st February 2017.
 Training attended (Students)Diploma in Textile and Garments Designing students attended  one day  training program about Singer Sewing Machines and Fashion Maker Machines at Assumption Community College, Changanacherry on 07/03/2017.  Mr. Dinesh B Senior Sales Officer from Singer trained the students.  He introduced the Advanced Technologies of Stitching machines.The students also participated  one day workshop on 07/04/2017. Mrs. Peace J Pooppally an eminent Fashion Designer trained the students.  She introduced the advanced vistas of stitching.
 Training attended (Staff)

Ms.Binumol K V, Coordinator  and Ms. Dolly Tomy were attended one day training Workshop on Educational Leadership and Teacher Wellness organized by Community College and IQAC at St. Theresa’s College, Ernakulam on 27-02-2017.

 Industrial VisitAn Industrial visit was conducted on 1st October 2016 at Textport Industry, Kazhakoottam. The students were shown the stitching techniques of shirt. Another visit was at SreeBhagavathy HWCS at Trivandrum.   The sight was really appealing to the students as they were introduced to the traditional weaving techniques.
 Seminar

On 28th and 29th July 2016, a UGC sponsored seminar on Textile and Texturing was conducted by Archbishop Powathil Assumption Community College Changanacherry.  The seminar was inaugurated by K.Kumaraguru,Assistant Professor, Department of Textile Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur.

 On 28th July 2016 the full day session was about “Textile Texturing through weaving”. The class was taken by K. Kumaraguru, Assistant Professor, Department of Textile Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur.

On 29th July 2016 the morning session was based on Textile Texturing – Hand Method.  Ms. Supriya Nair, Assistant Professor, Department of Fashion Technology, St Theresas Autonomous College, Ernakulam, trained the students on the said topic.  The afternoon session concentrated on Textile through Knitting.  The class was led by Mr. Senthil Kumar, Faculty, NIFT-TEA Knitwear Fashion Institute, Tirupur.

The seminar ended with valedictory session at 3.30 pm.  The seminar was a different and also an enlightening one for the students.

The students also participated in a two day workshop on 27th and 29th June 2016.  Mrs. Peace J Pooppally an eminent Fashion Designer trained the students.  She introduced the advanced vistas of stitching.

Training

Diploma in Textile and Garments Designing students participated one week training program at CoptacChanganacherry from 12th July to 18th July 2016 related to their studies. The training session was a vivid platform that enhanced the students to learn about different Churidhar cutting, Embroidary works etc.

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has sanctioned a financial support of Micro Enterprise Development Programmes.  Tailoring, Embroidery and  Food Preservation. Programmes were conducted for the unemployed women in June 2016.

NABARD  Programmes  on Tailoring  Embroidery and  Food Preservation

Nabard programmes was inaugurated by Mr.ShajiZachariah,District Development Manager,Nabard, Kottayam on June 2106.

Rev. Sr.Cherukusumam, Director and Ms.Binumol K. V, Course Coordinator attended the 35th Teachers Training Programme organized by the Indian Centre for Research and Development Community Education (ICRDCE), Chennnai  from 2nd to 7th November 2015.

Ms.Binumol K V, Course Coordinator  attended one day training program of National Workshop on Review, Evaluation, Action Plan for UGC Community College and B.Voc Centre for Nodal Officers in the state of Kerala on 15th September 2015.

Rev.Dr.Sr.AmalaSH took part in  a meeting and presented a report about Community College in Delhi on 18th May 2015.
