COVID-19 Response

Intradepartmental Video Making Competition- SCI-DIVE: Dept. of Physics organized an intradepartmental video making competition for the students of the department. National Science Day 2020

Dept of Physics celebrated National Science Day on 3rd February 2020. Dr. T R Ananthakrishnan (Visiting Professor, International School of Photonics, CUSAT) inaugurated the one day program and conducted a Physics stage show for the students. Inauguration of Research Centre

IAPT- NGPE 2020

Dept of Physics was a regional center in conducting National Graduate Physics Examination- 2020 conducted by IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers). The Examination was held on 19th January, 2020.


Motivational talk for students

As part of the New year celebrations, Dept of Physics organized a motivational session for students of various departments. The session was led by Fr. Moban Chooravady, a renowned speaker and writer. Around 200 students participated in the event which focused mainly on women empowerment and issues related to women.


Energy Conservation Day- Poster designing competition

To mark the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day, Dept. of Physics conducted an inter-departmental poster designing competition on 16th December, 2019. Sasthrapadham

Karyanjali- Celebrating 150th Gandhi Jayanti

Physics in Action

‘Physics in Action’ a workshop for the higher secondary students of the locality was organized. Students of III DC Physics coordinated the four sections of Mechanics, Optics, Electricity & electronics, and Astrophysics. Study Tour to VSSC & Planetorium
