BLOOD DONATION CAMP

 The department of Social Work on January 16, 2018, in joint effort with Red Ribbon Club and NSS a blood donation camp was conducted in the campus. Around 50 students donated blood on the day.


WORLD DISABILITY DAY

In collaboration with ALAN T foundation and SB College, Changanacherry, the World Disability day is observed in the different streets of Changanacherry with street play and flash mobs on December 6th 2017.


HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

The students hosted informative charts and posters around the campus on  the need of safeguarding  Human Rights in the whole campus.


WORLD AIDS DAY

The student of Social Work Department observed World AIDS day in the campus on December 1st 2017. A street play was conducted to beat the stigma towards HIV infected people. Moreover the students hosted informative charts and cards around the campus on HIV and AIDS.


CHILD RIGHTS DAY

As a part of the observance of Child Rights Week, in collaboration with Kerala Balavakasha Commission Kottayam the students of Social Work conducted a street play on Child Rights at Puthupally Junction, Kottayam. This helped to attract the local community members towards the programme.


SEMINAR ON PROLIFE AND EXHIBITION

A twenty hour long Pro life exhibition was organised at the college campus on November 31st2017. Pro life exhibition was  inaugurated by College Manager Very Rev Fr Philips Vadakkekalam. A seminar on Prolife was also conducted at college seminar hall.

VISMAYAM, 2017

As part of the curriculum, Social Work students are supposed to undergo a 7-Day rural camp, to get an exposure to rural living as well as community organisation. This year the community in Manidumkuzhy, of Kanjirappally grama panchayath, was selected as the camp site. Various programmes were arranged as part of the rural camp.

Street Play on Drug Addiction

Audio Documentary on Radio Media Village

“Justice for Jisha”

Students of Social Work Department conducted a protest rally on 6th May 2016 at 1.30 pm to express their sincere concern over the recent harassments and rape incidents towards women in Kerala. Theatre Workshop
