Our Department Published a Book Named Sthreepaksha Madhyama vicharam and the book was released on 28th February 2017 by our Principal Dr.Sr.Amala S.H. and the Editor of the book was Dr.Suma Cyriac.
Our Team Rosmy Thomas and Reshma Radhakrishnan bagged 2nd Prize in the inter departmental debate competition conducted by Staff Association of Assumption College in February 2017.
On Behalf of MathruBhasha Dinam we conducted an inter departmental poem Recitation competition and Ms.Anjitha Joseph , Dept.of Chemistry won the first prize.
A paper presentation competition was conducted in the afternoon session on 28th February 2017 for our U.G students and Ms.Jyothis Sebastian won the First Prize.

Conducted Arangu the stage of creative writings on 9th February 2017. Ms.Anjali Aravindan of IIIrd B.A Eng.Lit selected as the Yuva Kavayitri and Ms.Limna Suja Shaji of Ist DC Chemistry selected as the Yuva Kadhakari.
Varnapadham conducted literary competitions for the students of Malayalam department on 8th February 2017.

An inter collegiate Quiz competition (SamagraKeralam) on 2nd February 2017. Total 9 colleges participated in the contest . Assumption team won the first prize in the contest.

Seminar on Theyyam
Conducted a cultural Conference and a seminar on Theyyam on 9th December 2015 .The programme was inaugurated by Mr.N.Jayaraj M.L.A of Kanjirappaiiy. The folk ritual drama Theyyam was presented at the campus on the same day afternoon.

The department of Oriental Languages organized a UGC Sponsored Two-Day National Seminar on ‘Influence of Social Media on Women Empowerment’ on 8th September to 9th September 2015.
